This detailed Atlas Master Gold N Scale EMD SD9 locomotive is based on the 1,750-horsepower diesel-electric road switcher used by a number of railroads. Built between January 1954 and June 1959, a few of these long-lived units are still in operation in the 21st century and several are preserved in museums and on excursion railroads.

There are 16 horns, 2 bells, and 2 brake squeals to choose from. This locomotive is equipped with both Manual and Automatic Notching modes, allowing users to switch between the two “on-the-fly” for maximum reliability.
