This is a Broadway Limited 1468 HO Scale Denver & Rio Grande Western Paragon Series General American (GACX) 53’6 Wood Express Reefer 2-Car Set #1621, 1612 (Pullman Green). Express reefers were designed to haul perishable goods to market fast. NormAlly operated at the front of passenger trains, GACX 53′ 6 wood refrigerator cars were the most commonly used cars in the U.S.from the 30s through the 50s. These ready-to-run models feature a plastic body with metal wheels and axles, 2 operating knuckle couplers, operating doors and factory applied hand grabs. All cars can be operated on code 70, 83 and 100 track.
