This is a Kadee 4301 HO Scale 40′ PS-1 Boxcar Birmingham Southern #6745 6′ 7-Panel Superior Door (Boxcar Red, black ends). One of the most popular box cars on America’s rails, thousands were built in the 1950s as railroads began replacing worn-out older equipment. The rugged all-steel construction insured a long service life well into the 1980s. These superbly detailed HO Scale models come fully assembled, ready for service. Each includes a one-piece, injection molded body mounted on a metal floor. Separate details are already installed and include: see-through roofwalk, sliding doors (correct style for the prototype car), latches, grab irons, ladders and brake gear. Each rides on Kadee(R) trucks with patented self-centering action for ease of placement on the tracks. Scale draft gear boxes include delayed centering action Magne-Matic(R) metal couplers. Models feature a riveted roof.
