Here is a Lionel 6-27361 O Gauge Pacific Fruit Express 40-Foot Wood-Sided Reefer. As early as 1906, the Union Pacific refrigerator car line was maintained through Pacific Fruit Express Company. Even as late as the 1940s and 1950s, wood-sheathed reefer cars dominated this reefer line. Beginning in 1941, the mighty Big Boy hauled seemingly endless lines of these refrigerator cars loaded with California perishables across the country. Decorated with the familiar U.P. shield and available in four unique road numbers, the new Lionel P.F.E. reefers are handsome and accurate compliments to the new Big Boy locomotives and CA-4 Cabooses.
