This is a Lionel 22277 Milwaukee Road Olympian Hiawatha Aluminum 18″ Passenger Set 2-Pack. Milwaukee Road was an innovator in electrification; their route through the Northwest was the longest continuous electrified rail line in the world. Trailing their competitors when they began streamlining their transcontinental Olympian passenger service in 1947, they innovated again. Milwaukee Road created their signature Skytop observation cars, called the perfect ending for a perfect train, in 1949 and the spectacular Super Domes in 1953 and re-branded their top-of-the-line service as Hiawatha.

Features include Interior StreamLighting, Detailed Interiors with Passengers, Vestibules w/Opening Doors, Extruded Aluminum Car Body, Metal Chassis w/Underside Details, Metal Grab Rails, 4-Wheel Die Cast Trucks w/Separate Springs, Operating Die Cast Couplers, Diaphragms Included, Swing Skirt for O-31 Operation.
