Here is a Marklin 8827 Z Scale DB Railways Class 41 220 2-8-2 Steam Locomotive & Tender. This includes a steam locomotive and tender. The locomotive features a motor, headlight, metal side rods, metal wheels and axles. The tender features plastic construction, trucks, fish-hook couplers, metal wheels and axles.

Introduced at the turn of the 20th century, the 2-8-2 was an innovator breaking from the traditional manufacturing of locomotives, and featuring a larger firebox paving the way for greater speeds at a higher rate of power! Before we knew it, the 2-8-2 also known as the “Mikado” found itself in rail yards around the world from the United States to the Congo hauling freight from stop to stop. The Mikado would undergo a temporary name change after the Pearl Harbor bombing in 1941 shortly going by the McArthur, before eventually going back to the Mikado name after WW2.

This item has been graded per TCA standards C-7: Excellent based on visual appearance. There is light wear on the wheels from previous use. The axles show a bit of dirt residue. The shell shows a bit of oil residue. The overall appearance of this item may be improved with a gentle and thorough cleaning. This item has been inspected by our repair shop.
