Here is a MTH 20-3005-1 O Southern Cresent 4-6-2 Steam Engine with Tender. This is one of the first of the Premier Line Steam Locomotives. It features die-cast boiler, chassis & tender, pittman motor, engineer figure, operating smoke unit, marker lights, Proto-Sounds, and firebox glow. It is scale length but runs on O-31 curves.

This locomotive does not include DCS (Digital Command System) features because it has ProtoSound 1.0. Only locomotives with ProtoSound 2.0 and ProtoSound 3.0 include DCS functions.

Introduced in its prototype form in the late 19th century, the 4-6-2 would take the world by storm at the turn of the 20th century, being seen as one of the biggest innovation in the history of locomotives — the 4-6-2 would quickly finds its place in rail-yards across the world. Heralded for its ability to haul passengers, the 4-6-2 was a versatile model hauling freight and coal as well, with tank variants being introduced later during the 20th century. Traveling at speeds upwards of 100mph the 4-6-2was featured on rail-ways ranging from Argentina to Egypt, and all the way to the far East in China!
